In June, 3,000 activists from around Europe and beyond gathered in London for the second international conference against war. This tremendously inspiring event called for concerted international action against the terrifying drive to war.
To follow up, Stop the War has organised a tour of regional rallies, featuring some key speakers from the international movement. The aim is to demand our government drops its commitment to increase arms spending, to popularise the call for welfare not warfare and to build for action against militarism on the international days of action, 30 October, 20 November and 21 November.
We urge all our members and supporters to come to their nearest rally, to publicise them far and wide, and if possible pass the resolution against the drive to war in your union branch.
Our rulers are trying to generate war hysteria. We must get organised. We must resist.
