Two years of genocide

Start organising in your workplaces and communities

The movement has called a workplace day of action for Palestine on Thursday 9 October.

As we approach two years of the genocide in Gaza, the UN has declared famine, the infrastructure has been razed, and Israel is annexing territory. Despite performative rhetoric the UK and the West are complicit in Israel’s crimes. They are still supplying money and weapons, sharing intelligence and refusing to impose sanctions.

We are asking people to organise some kind of action in their workplaces and communities. The action can be big or small, just please show your solidarity with the Palestinian people. Here are some ideas:

  • Organise a rally and ask attendees to bring pots and pans to bang together to make some noise.
  • Call a lunchtime walk out.
  • Organise a two minute silence at work for Palestine.
  • Make it a ‘Wear a badge or scarf for Palestine day’.
  • Invite everyone to a Palestinian lunch or a bake sale.
  • Do a collection and a petition for the movement.

Let us make this the biggest workplace day of action our movement has seen over the last 2 years – start organising with your colleagues for 9 October.

Please let us know your plans in advance and make sure that you take pictures and videos for social media (#Workplaces4Palestine) on the day and send them in to office@stopwar.org.uk
