The UK is the sixth richest country in the world, yet millions live in poverty, our schools are crumbling, and public services have been decimated. It’s not only unjust – its damaging for our economy and society.

Despite this, the government is massively ramping up military spending at the expense of the welfare state – refusing to lift the two-child benefit cap, attacking pensioners and disabled people while pledging to increase the defence budget to three percent in the next parliament.

Stop the War Coalition has called a lobby of the TUC congress in Brighton to demand trade unions put wages and welfare before warfare.

Make your voice heard. Join us and supporting organisations and trade unions on Sunday 7 September, outside the Brighton Centre. Call on all delegates to the TUC Congress to support resolution 37 – Wages not Warfare.
