Jeremy Corbyn's written statement on Saudi Arabia

The Labour leader provided a statement for our 'Stop Supporting Saudi Arabia' meeting

Jeremy Corbyn calls on the government to end arms sales to Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia’s bombing campaign against Yemen has been a human rights tragedy and a violation of international law. The United Nations has made it clear that the attacks on civilians in Yemen have to stop.  The British government should halt arms supplies to Saudi Arabia, now being used for this assault on its neighbour, and it should end its diplomatic and military support for the Saudi intervention.  The Yemeni people urgently need peace and assistance, and it is that which the British government should focus on. I welcome Stop the War’s campaign for these objectives.
