Hundreds of workers joined Stop the War and CND’s Workplace Day of Action for Palestine on 15 November with walkouts, protests, photo-ops and teach-ins taking place across the UK. Over 40 different workplaces were involved but as the horror in Gaza escalates, we must ensure that this is merely a first small step in coordinated workplace activity calling for a ceasefire in Gaza but also for an end to Israel’s oppression and the rights of the Palestinian people to live in freedom with justice and equality.
We’re calling another Workplace Day of Action on the UN’s International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People on Wednesday 29th November. Start planning your action now.
Here’s some ideas of actions you can take:
– Get your colleagues together and take a photo with our Ceasefire Now poster.
– Organise a lunchtime meeting or protest – show Palestinian activist & academic Mahmoud Zwahre’s calling on trade unionists to support Palestine.
– Organise a 15 mins walkout.
– Wear green and red for Palestine.
