The People’s Assembly End Austerity Now national demonstration on 20 June 2015 brought a huge crowd on to London’s streets. Speaking at the rally in Parliament Square, national convenor of Stop the War, Lindsey German, compared the billions available for warmaking and the military to the brutal cuts in welfare and public services being implemented by the Tory government.
