We are delighted to announce that Prof. Noam Chomsky will join our international conference via a link. He will join over 20 other speakers from Afghanistan, Iraq, America, Ghana and Canada to discuss the state of the War on Terror and the next steps for the movement.

Mitra Qayoom is an Afghan woman whose family left Afghanistan during the civil war in the early 1990s and now live in London. Mitra has worked with women's right organisations, interviewing women in refugee camps and on the streets of Kabul. She works closely with Stop The War Coalition.
Dr Elaheh Rostami-Povey is a writer and researcher at the School of Oriental and African Studies whose research focuses on Afghanistan, Iran and the Middle East. Her most recent publications include Afghan women, identity and invasion, published by Zed Books.
Afghanistan Withdrawal Group of MPs was launched to press for British withdrawal and consider constructive ways in which the conflict might be ended. The group is co-chaired by MPs Paul Flynn and Caroline Lucas. Supporters are drawn from across the political parties.
