This 15 minute video reviews 2011, which was the most momentous year in decades, from the Arab Spring revolutions to the war in Libya, from the continuing collapse of the world economy to the Occupy movement which swept the globe.
It was the year that brought millions of people onto the street in mass protests, whether to overthrow tyrannies in the Middle East, or in resistance to the 1% of the world that controls its wealth using mass unemployment and cuts in social services to make the other 99% pay for an economic crisis which was none of their making.
And as ever in the background was the wars -- in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq and elsewhere. And, following the war in Libya, the threat of more war to come, with Iran and Syria being the likely targets.
