Interview with Lindsey German, convenor of Stop the War Coalition

"THE ISLAMOPHOBIC FILM produced in the US may have been the trigger, but the protests that have erupted in over 30 countries are not just about religion.

Over a decade of US-led wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Pakistan and beyond -- and the incessant use of torture, assassination and imprisonment without trial -- have brought anti-American and anti-Western rage in the Muslim world to boiling point.

Islamophobia has become today's respectable form of racism, spouted by politicians and the media alike.

In this video, Stop the War's Lindsey German says bringing calm to this turmoil can only begin by withdrawing all foreign troops from the countries now being attacked or occupied by the United States and its allies -- and by stopping the threats of further war in Syria and Iran.
