US occupation of Iraq is not over says Jeremy Corbyn MP

Jeremy Corbyn, UK member of parliament and national chair of Stop the War Coalition, says the chaos and violence in Iraq are a direct result of an illegal war and the eight-year occupation which even after the withdrawal of US troops is not over.

What's been achieved by the war in Iraq?

A large amount of deaths, a huge amount of profits for arms companies, a lot of oil contracts signed by western oil companies, a lot of chaos on the streets, a huge level of private security forces and the biggest US embassy the world has ever seen, with 13,000 pesonnel housed within it.

It doesn't look like there's been a complete withdrawal of US forces, it looks like a security presence has been left behind to protect the Iraqi government which is so happy to do business with the west.
