A Colour Chart for Killing – The Legacy of World War One ‘The War to End All Wars’
01 April - 03 May
Organised by: Jude Hutchen Art »
Who would know that Britain has been almost consistently at war since WW1? War predominately takes place elsewhere. Jude Hutchen brings the military platform of UK culture to visibility – at home. Influenced by Susan Sontag’s writing and subverting the grand theme of ‘War’ in Art History this exhibition is based on an ethical manifesto. Imagery from the housing market and home decorating is plundered to provoke questions about personal responsibility for mass violence, through connecting our quality of life to its reliance on the military industrial complex.
