Our speakers are anti-war campaigners, who have experienced the effects of Islamophobia.

MAZ SALEEM, a member of the national Stop the War team, is the daughter of 82-year-old Mohammed Saleem, who was murdered in Birmingham, on the very road where he had lived for over 30 years, because he was a Muslim.

MOAZZAM BEGG, born 1968 in Sparkhill, Birmingham is a British Pakistani who was held in extrajudicial detention by the US government in the Bagram Theater Internment Facility and their Guantanamo Bay detainment camp, in Cuba, for nearly three years but never charged.

CHRIS NINEHAM, A founder member of the Stop the War Coalition, and currently a vice chair. He was one of the organisers of the two million February 15th,2003 demonstration in London and central to the international co-ordination that led to the protests going global.
