Stop the War fundraising dinner with Guardian foreign correspondent Jonathan Steele
Ev Turkish restaurant, 97-99 Isabella Street, Southwark SE1 8DA (behind Southwark tube station)
October 14th - a date for your diary! You are invited we're to our 2013 fundraiser dinner at Ev Turkish restaurant at 7pm on Monday October 14.
The dinner will launch a new pamphlet by historian Dr Neil Faulkner - No Glory - setting the political and historic context for our commemorations of the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War.
An after dinner speech will be given by Guardian foreign correspondent Jonathan Steele. This will be followed by an auction of a framed Richard Hamilton signed poster 'Free the South Ken 3' and a raffle of 3 mystery prizes. The event will be hosted by Stop the War convenor Lindsey German and chair Jeremy Corbyn MP.
The evening is £30 a head for Friends of Stop the War; £35 for standard members or group bookings of six or more; or £40 for non-members. This includes a three course dinner with vegetarian options - still and sparkling bottled water on each table - and a copy of the pamphlet. The bar will be open for wine, beer, spirits, teas and coffee.
